The book deals with the profiles and statistics of the 29 Karnataka (Mysore) cricketers – from PE Palia to S Aravindam – who have represented India in Tests or ODIs or Intl T-20 or in all three formats. C Keshava Murthy is a well known cricket statistician and has been in the field of cricket statistics for over four decades. This is his third book in Kannada relating to cricket – The other two being 'Bharateeya Cricket Itihaasa' (about the brief history of Indian cricket) and 'Bharatada Cricket Naayakaur' (about Cricket Captains of India). He is also the compiler of the cricket book IRANI CUP (published by SCSI, Mumbai) which has been reviewed in this column separately. The current book highlights many interesting facets of the international players of Karnataka starting from their early childhood – the narration is simple and provides interesting reading. It is a rare book with plenty of stats – It is worth a translation to English as such an attempt has not been made in English.
